2008 – Linkin Park announced the lineup for “Project Revolution 2008″ on This Day in Rock. The 5th reinvention with Soundgarden/Audioslave lead singer Chris Cornell, electro-rockers The Bravery and Ashes Divide, Billy Howerdel, from A Perfect Circle.
Tour dates begin on July 16th of this year at Tweeter Center in Boston USA. Other performers include: 10 Years, fiery Ohio natives Hawthorne Heights and buzz band Armor For Sleep.
2008 – a computer expert was jailed for two years for electronically stalking Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington. Devon Townsend worked at a US national security laboratory in New Mexico, where she used a computer to track Bennington, she admitted to obtaining family photos, accessing e-mail and voicemail, and threatening his wife Talinda.
2007 – former laboratory worker Devon Townsend admitted to a court in Albuquerque, New Mexico of stalking Chester Bennington lead singer with Linkin Park. Townsend used US government computers to obtain his personal information, accessing Bennington’s e-mail account and mobile phone voicemail. The court was told how she travelled to Arizona solely for the purpose of trying to see the singer and monitored Chester Bennington’s voicemails as a means of trying to locate where he might be eating.
2006 – Linkin Park and Jay-Z perform together at the Grammy Awards, joining a performance lineup that also features pairings between Madonna and Gorillaz, U2 and Mary J. Blige, Faith Hill and Keith Urban, Christina Aguilera and Herbie Hancock and Jamie Foxx with Kanye West.
2005 – Jay-Z, No Doubt, Jurassic 5, Story of the Year, and Camp Freddy with Dave Navarro play Linkin Park’s Music for Relief: Rebuilding South Asia concert at Anaheim, Calif. Proceeds go to benefit tsunami relief.

Linkin Park is an American rock band from Agoura Hills, California. Formed in 1996, the band rose to international fame with their debut album, Hybrid Theory, which was certified Diamond by the RIAA in 2005 and multi-platinum in several other countries. Its following studio album, Meteora, continued the band’s success, topping the Billboard 200 album chart in 2003, and was followed by extensive touring and charity work around the world. In 2003, MTV2 named Linkin Park the sixth greatest band of the music video era and the third best of the new millennium behind Oasis and Coldplay.
Having adapted the nu metal and rap metal genres to a radio-friendly yet densely layered style in Hybrid Theory and Meteora, the band explored other genres in their next studio album, Minutes to Midnight, which was released in 2007. The album topped the Billboard charts and had the third best debut week of any album that year. The band has collaborated with several other artists, most notably with rapper Jay-Z in their mashup EP Collision Course, and many others included on Reanimation.
