2004 – Courtney Love plays a rare solo show at Los Angeles’ Viper Room. As well as airing Hole’s “Celebrity Skin” and “Plump,” she plays material from her solo album America’s Sweetheart.
2003 – Former head Hole member Courtney Love places an ad in New York’s Village Voice looking for new band members. “We like Emily the Strange, Lolita Goth, Patty Schemel’s drumming, Nuggets and ‘Performance’ the Movie,” it reads. “We love Flea but don’t want you to play like him. We start NOW. NO BOYS.”
2001 – Courtney Love announces on her Web site that she’s formed a new band with Veruca Salt guitarist-vocalist Louise Post, former Hole drummer Patty Schemel, and Rockit Girl bassist Gina Crosley. It’s called Bastard, and it never really gets off the ground.
1999 – A teenage girl was crushed to death during a gig by Hole at the Hultsfred Festival, Sweden.
