2004 – A bench warrant is issued for Courtney Love after she fails to appear at a hearing on felony drug possession charges in Los Angeles. Her attorney says her no-show was due to “security reasons.”
2003 – Courtney Love was sentenced to 18 months in drug rehabilitation after she admitted being under the influence of cocaine and opiates. She was banned from taking non-prescription drugs, drinking alcohol or being in places that serve alcohol.
2001 – Courtney Love announces on her Web site that she’s formed a new band with Veruca Salt guitarist-vocalist Louise Post, former Hole drummer Patty Schemel, and Rockit Girl bassist Gina Crosley. It’s called Bastard, and it never really gets off the ground.
2001 – Courtney Love filed a lawsuit against her alleged stalker claiming that Lesley Barber, the ex-wife of her current boyfriend Jim Barber, drove over her foot. This had forced her to forfeit her role in a forthcoming film and lost her the £200,000, ($340,000) fee that went with it.
1994 – Courtney Love turns in the shotgun Kurt Cobain used to kill himself to a guns-for-tickets trade-in program.

1994 – In a tragic forerunner of later events, police confiscate 4 guns and 25 boxes of ammo after Kurt Cobain’s wife, Courtney Love calls them, fearing he would commit suicide.
