2010 – As reported before, Carlos Santana‘s new album “GUITAR HEAVEN” will feature his version of Leppard’s “PHOTOGRAPH”, with Chris Daughtry on vocals. The album won’t be out until September 21st, but here’s a sneak peek of the song shot during a special showcase live show in Las Vegas last week.
2010 – Carlos Santana announces he will Cover Cream, Deep Purple, Van Halen, Rolling Stones On his Upcoming Covers Album on This Day in Rock!
“We’re not comparing or competing with those artists… we’re complementing them,” Santana said. “But when you hear this, you’re gonna do ‘Damn!’ because it sounds so powerful, with vitality and vibrancy. Like Wayne Shorter says, it’s completely new, totally familiar.”

2003 – Carlos Santana attacks Bush and Saddam Hussein at a concert in Melbourne, Australia, announcing, “We are the architects of the world and our agenda is different to Saddam Hussein and George Bush. Dignity and grace are our weapons – unity, salvation and elegance.”
2000 – At the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Carlos Santana performs a record-tying sweep at the Grammy’s, winning eight of the ten awards for which he is nominated. Michael Jackson set the record back in 1984 when he won big for “Thriller.”
