2012 – Robin Gibb, The Bee Gees, awakes from a coma at the sound of his own music on This Day in Rock!
Robin’s Son said on Monday that recently released classical work “The Titanic Requiem”, was playing and Robin awoke out of his coma. Robin has been battling cancer and pneumonia when he slipped into a coma earlier this month. Family members noticed Robin trying to mouth the words of songs he’s sung 1000s of times while playing in his room.
“He woke up while we were playing the track which is a movement from the (Titanic) Requiem we have just written,” Robin-John Gibb told the news program, referring to Gibb’s debut classical work which he co-wrote with his son.
