2008 – Levi Stubbs died today on This Day in Rock Music History! Levi, 72 had been diagnosed with cancer in 1995 which was proceeded by a stroke and other health issues. Levi was a singer for the ‘Four Tops’ on the Motown Record label in 1963. Over a ten year period from 1963 to 1973 the Four Tops produced 20 Top 40 hits on Billboard.
