2001 – U.S. District Judge Robert Hinkle rules that Funkadelic star George Clinton signed away his copyright on songs written in the late ’70s and early ’80s and no, he can’t have it back. Clinton claimed rap stars were profiting off tunes he sold to Bridgeport Music in 1983.
