1996 – MTV launches the fourth season of “Singled Out,” MTV’s ultimate relationship show. Mid-way through this new season, Jenny McCarthy will hand over the baton of pop diva to Carmen Electra who has been signed to move into the role of Chris Hardwicks’ co-host.

1996 – MTV debuts “Loveline,” a late nightly show where audience members and viewers around the country get laughs and advice about love, sex and other assorted problems of the heart. “Loveline” is hosted by popular radio talk show personalities Adam Carolla and practicing physician Dr. Drew Pinsky.
