1967 – Tom Jones appears on the first telecast of CBS-TV’s “Spotlight” summer musical variety series.

Sir Thomas John Woodward, OBE (born 7 June 1940), known by his stage name Tom Jones, is a Welsh pop music singer particularly noted for his powerful voice. He was born in Treforest, Pontypridd, near Cardiff in South Wales, United Kingdom.
