2003 – R.E.M.’s Michael Stipe joins Radiohead onstage in Vancouver to sing “Karma Police.” The previous night, Thom Yorke performed two songs with the Athens alt.rock stars at the same venue.
2003 – Paul McCartney loses a daughter, but gains a son-in-law as Stella McCartney marries publisher Alasdhair Willis on the Scottish island of Bute. Also in attendance are Madonna, Coldplay’s Chris Martin and the Pretenders’ Chrissie Hynde.
